Stores Team Leader

We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader in the Stores at Billingham. This role will manage in a supervisory capacity the day-to-day transactional requirements and stores operations to ensure the successful implementation of a robust stores process at CF UK in order to meet the business, safety, environmental and operational objectives in a controlled and safe manner.

This role is ideal for someone with experience using a modern inventory management system, strong people skills and experience managing and motivating a team.

In this role you will be accountable for...

  • Ensuring workplace health and safety requirements are co-ordinated and adhered to in line with CF UK Stores SHE plan and procedures.
  • Co-ordination of stores daily operations, including, receipt, handling, issue, storage, counter service, dispute resolution and despatch of goods.
  • Providing subject matter expertise to development of stores operations and systems
  • Ensuring audits are maintained including, delivery points, plant, security and safety of equipment, cycle counting and personnel.
  • Validating stock holding data and equipment condition implementing ongoing processes to manage inventory and deal with obsolescence.
  • Taking responsibility for security of data and stock integrity.
  • Managing, organising, training, motivating and assisting in the development of site Inventory Control Team to ensure consistent application of standards, systems and processes to deliver service requirements.
  • Developing and nurturing a culture of Continuous Improvement within Inventory both within the Inventory Control function and across stakeholders.
  • Ensuring the Inventory Control function is seen as a valued business partner to Manufacturing and Engineering functions.

The skills, qualifications and experience you will have...

  • Understanding of modern inventory management systems, processes and procedures
  • Familiar with computerised inventory management systems
  • IT literate working knowledge of Oracle desirable
  • Good team working skills
  • Proven experience of strong communication skills
  • Experience of managing and motivating a team
